Ethiopian resumed a first commercial passenger flight to Asmara after two decades on Wednesday 18 July.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn addition to Asmara, the airlines will open additional flights to Eritrea\u2019s port cities, Assab and Massawa,\u201d Group CEO Ethiopian Airlines, Tewolde Gebremariam, told FBC.<\/p>\n

The new flights to Eritrean cities will help the Airlines expand its passengers\u2019 destinations, the CEO said.<\/p>\n

Ethiopian currently serves 115 international passenger and cargo destinations across five continents.<\/p>\n

Tewolde further said the Airlines would increase its flights to Asmara to twice a day.<\/p>\n

The Airlines could save time and money by using Eritrea\u2019s airspace for other international flight routes.<\/p>\n
