More than 13,000 people have benefited from the amnesty law in the past six months, according to the Federal Attorney General.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The amnesty law, which was passed by the Ethiopian parliament on 20 July 2018, came to an end yesterday after six months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

More than 13, 200 individuals took advantage of the law during this period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The law grants amnesty for individuals and groups either under investigation or convicted on treason, crime against the constitutional order and armed struggle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
