On 29 March 2022, H.E. Ambassador Hirut Zemene had a fruitful discussion with Ms. Naomi Meulemans, a Belgian of Ethiopian origin and senior modern art conservator who is interested to support heritage conservation efforts in Ethiopia.<\/div>\n

During the meeting, Ambassador Hirut expressed her appreciation to Ms Meulemans’ efforts in venturing on possibilities of capacity building in the field with relevant institutions in Ethiopia.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Ambassador Hirut also expressed hope this initiative will take further roots in materializing a cooperation link between Ethiopia and Belgium in Art Conservation institutions.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Ms Meulemans had initiated a promotional event to promote art conservation in Ethiopia in August 2021 which the embassy had been in attendance.<\/div>\n
