On the 24th of May 2023, H.E. Ambassador Hirut Zemene held discussion with the Board members of Flemish Inter-University Umbrella Organization for Development Cooperation (VLIR-UOS) through a yearly regular consultation program at the premisses of the Embassy.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The consultation was held in an effort to honour and further solidify the more than two-decade partnership in the field of higher education. The VILROUS side was led by Ms. Kristien Verbrugghen, the Director at VLIR-UOS and Professor Stefaan Smis from Free University of Brussels. The discussion was more focused on, among others, scholarships, inter university coooperation and project implementations.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Both sides agreed to work closely to strengthen gains made so far, tackle some challenges and further cement the higher education cooperation Program between the two sisterly Countries.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

VLIR-UOS, through Flemish Universities, has a strong cooperation link with many first-generation universities in Ethiopia in Masters and Ph.D. programs in various fields of studies covered both through the scholarship and inter-University Cooperation.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
