Ambassador Eshete Tilahun met with H.E. Georges Rebelo Pinto Chikoti, Secretary-General of the African, Caribbean, and Pacific Group of States (OACPS) on October 01, 2024.<\/div>\n
Ambassador Eshete thanked the Secretary-General for the warm reception and the coordination efforts of the OACPS Secretariat. He expressed Ethiopia’s commitment to work closely with the Secretariat and member states not only to meet the purpose for which the group is organized, but also to address common contemporary challenges.<\/div>\n

The Secretary-General emphasized the role his office has played in advancing the interests of all member states. He also highlighted the reform of the OACPS Secretariat and the solidarity and collaboration to promote common agendas.<\/div>\n

Both agreed on the importance of strong support from member states for the convening capacity of the Secretariat as coordinated engagement with our EU partners on issues of strategic significance remains critical.<\/div>\n
