On 7 November 2024, H.E. Ambassador Eshete Tilahun formally presented his Letter of Credentials to His Majesty King Philippe of Belgium. During the audience, King Philippe expressed his warm welcome to the Ambassador and conveyed his good wish to H.E. President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. His Majesty reiterated Belgium’s longstanding ties and his acquaintance with Ethiopia. The King also highlighted the importance of expanding people-to-people connections and strengthening cooperation in areas such as social development.
\nThe King inquired about the latest developments in Ethiopia, the Horn of Africa, and Ethiopia’s position on key global issues. Ambassador Eshete provided an update on Ethiopia’s current political and economic landscape, as well as regional challenges.
