Ambassador Eshete Tilahun held discussion with the Director General of the European Commission\u2019s Directorate General for International Partnerships (INTPA) Mr. Koen Doens. The two officials exchanged views on the Ethiopia-EU historical partnership.<\/span><\/p>\n

They also highlighted the need to strengthening cooperation between Ethiopia and the European Union in the context of the Global Gateway Initiative, Smooth implementation of the Multi Annual Indicative (MIP) program and other elements of interest were discussed in details.<\/span><\/div>\n
Ambassador Eshete noted the importance of the cooperation in the development endeavors of Ethiopia and the region.<\/span><\/div>\n
Mr. Koen Doens mentioned that Ethiopia is strategic partner for the European Union. He also explained the EU Global Getaway, the Regional MIP and other programs shall be implemented according to the agreements and the European Union priorities.<\/span><\/div>\n
The two sides also exchange view on regional and global issues of common interest.<\/span><\/div>\n
