Ethiopian delegation led by H.E Hirut Zemene, Permanent Representative of Ethiopia to the AU took part at the Senior Officials preparatory meeting for the 3rd EU-AU Ministerial Meetings in Brussels on 20 May 2025. H.E Hirut Zemene highlighted the importance of the AU-EU partnership and underscored the need to have a strong stocktaking framework to appreciate progresses made so far and common issues consideration ahead. <\/span>Foreign Affairs Ministers of the African Union and European Union including H.E. Dr. Gedion Timothewos will meet on the 21st May to review progress made since the sixth EU-AU Summit of February 2022. <\/span>The Ministers will exchange views on the EU-AU partnership and how to further strengthen cooperation in the landmark year marking the 25th anniversary of the partnership. <\/span>The Senior official meeting will be followed by a joint Ministerial session that will discuss on range of topics such as peace and security, multilateralism, prosperity, and migration and mobility.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
