H.E. Gedion Timothewos, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia, met with H.E. Beate Meinl-Reisinger, Federal Minister for European and International Affairs of Austria in Brussels on 20 May 2025.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The meeting reaffirmed the long-standing relations between Ethiopia and Austria, built on mutual respect and shared values in diplomacy and multilateralism. Both sides acknowledged their historical ties and their role in peacekeeping and international affairs.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

H.E. Dr. Gedion raised concerns over EU visa restriction measure and the potential impact of the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) on smallholder farmers.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
