This morning on 6 November 2025, Ambassador Eshete Tilahun held discussion with H.E. Ms. Patricia LLOMBART CUSSAC, Managing Director for Africa in the European External Action Service (EEAS). The meeting focused on the current situation of bilateral, regional, and international issues of mutual interests. Their exchange was held prior to the Managing Director\u2019s upcoming visit to Addis Ababa from 6 to11 November 2025.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

During the discussion Ambassador Eshete expressed Ethiopia\u2019s highest expectations that the 50 years partnership needs to deliver as stated by principals of both sides at the side-lines of the Second Global Gateway Forum. He highlighted issues causing problem for smooth conduct of businesses and seamless political discourse.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The two sides exchanged views on pressing regional developments and internal dynamics in Ethiopia. He also reaffirmed Ethiopia\u2019s commitment to peaceful coexistence, highlighting the government\u2019s efforts to de-escalate any tensions.
