H.E. Ambassador Eshete Tilahun held comprehensive discussion with Mrs. Martine van Hoovstraten, Acting Director for Africa Department in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands on 24 November 2025.<\/div>\n

In the discussion bilateral, regional and global political, security and humanitarian issues were highlighted.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Ambassador Eshete provided briefing on the current peace and security situation in Ethiopia and the Horn of Africa Region. He emphasized that the government of Ethiopia is committed to a peaceful resolution of conflicts and encourages multiparty political system.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Ambassador Eshete also noted meeting of Prime Ministers of the two countries at the sidelines of the G20 Summit Johannesburg. He expressed appreciation to the Netherlands’ Government for identifying the Horn of Africa as a focal region in Africa, with Ethiopia as core partner of development cooperation.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
