Ambassador Eshete Tilahun welcomed and held discussion with H.E. Ambassador Geela Ali of the Republic of Maldives to the Kingdom of Belgium and Head of Mission to the European Union, 6 February 2026.<\/div>\n
The Ambassadors exchanged views about the working culture of the Bureau of the Committee of Ambassadors of the OACPS. Ambassador Eshete highlighted the role of the regional coordinator for the Eastern Africa Region Ambassadors Group (EAG) and issues of focus during the next six months when Maldives will assume the role of coordinating EAG. The two Ambassadors also exchanged views on the current situation of the OACPS Secretariat and the need to work closely together.<\/div>\n
