H.E. Ambassador Eshete Tilahun Holds Meeting with H.E. Ambassador Kristaps Brusb\u0101rdis
\nToday 16 October 2026, H.E. Ambassador Eshete had productive discussion with Ambassador Brusb\u0101rdis, Representative of Latvia to the Political and Security Committee (PSC) of the European Union. The two exchanged views on the current situation in Ethiopia and the Horn of Africa.
\nAmbassador Eshete briefed Ambassador Kristaps on the situation in northern Ethiopia and reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to peaceful solution of conflicts, while safeguarding the country’s sovereignty and national interests.
\nFor his part, Ambassador Kristaps highlighted the complex geopolitical dynamics in the Horn of Africa and underscored the importance of cooperation among the countries of the region in building good-neighbourly relations. He also stressed the need for the European Union to continue its regular engagement and partnership with Africa.<\/p>\n
