H.E. Gedion Timothewos, (Ph.d) Minister of Justice of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia held talks with Honorable Carlos Zorrinho, ACP-EU Co-President and Member of European Parliament on June 16, 2022, in Brussels.
The minister has started by expressing Ethiopia’s commitment to strengthen ties within the ACP-EU framework. He then briefed Hon. Zorrinho about the current political , security and humanitarian situation in Ethiopia.
The two sides further exchanged views on measures that are being taken to adddress human rights violations committed during the conflict in the Northern part of the country and accountability measures being taken by the government of Ethiopia.
The meeting was concluded by agreeing for a continued engagement.
