Ambassador Eshete Tilahun held a courtesy call and bilateral meeting with Ambassador Mahen Abhimanu Kundasamy, Ambassador of the Republic of Mauritius to the Kingdom of Belgium, at the Embassy of Ethiopia on on 3rd July 2026.
Ambassador Eshete underscored the importance of strengthening bilateral consultation between Ethiopian and Mauritius diplomatic mission on issues of common interest.
He emphasized the value of working collectively within the framework of the Organisation of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS) to advance shared interests and priorities on global platforms.
On his part, Ambassador Kundasamy reaffirmed the necessity of enhancing bilateral cooperation, specifically focusing on economic sphere. He also called for enhanced Global South cooperation to further strengthen ties between OACPS member States. Ambassador Kundasamy commended the ongoing development progress of his country and Ethiopia and the as transformative face of Africa
Both Ambassadors agreed on the importance of maintaining open and constructive dialogue on issues of mutual concern.

Ambassador Eshete met H.E. Ambassador Neil Kerr, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Malta to the European Union on 1 June 2026. The two Ambassadors exchange views on Ethiopia-Malta bilateral relations, regional and global cooperation. Their talks spanned through the current situation in the Horn of Africa and global affairs.
Ambassador Eshete outlined Ethiopia’s stance on key regional and geopolitical issues, emphasizing the importance of continued cooperation between Ethiopia and the European Union. For his part, Ambassador Neil Kerr highlighted areas of particular importance to Malta and the European Union. The two Ambassadors agreed to maintain regular consultation and exchange of views on issues of mutual interests.
