Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to the Belelux and E.U. institutions, H.E. Ambassador Hirut Zemene welcomed Chevening Ethiopia Leadership Fellowship Class of 2022 from various Ethiopian institutions including, Human Rights Commission, the House of People’s Representatives, Ministries of Peace, Justice, House Peoples representatives National Election Board, Federal Police Commission, Public Health Institute and British Council/ Ethiopia today, July 14, 2022.
The Chevening Brussels office has arranged the experience sharing opportunity for the trainees to get a first hand understanding on how the Embassy of Ethiopia engages in its diplomatic work with EU institutions , the ACP and with in its bilateral remits in Belelux countries.
On the Occasion, H.E Ambassador Hirut briefed the young leaders about the Embassy’s various endeavours in Benelux countries and European institutions. She also encouraged them to be builders of Ethiopia, a country where innovation and youth leadership in all sectors is needed to promote the interest of the country in numerous areas.
H.E. Ambassador Hirut Zemene and Deputy Head of Mission, Ambassador Fortuna Dibaco also shared their experiences in leadership in the field of diplomacy.
The team arrived in Brussels last night, as part of their programme for the second cohort of Chevening Ethiopia Fellows organized by Coventry University in Brussels, Belgium.
