H.E. Ambassador Hirut Zemene held a fruitful exchange with Ms. Veronique Dockendorf, Director of Political Affairs at the Luxembourg Ministry of Foreign Affairs on February 16th, 2023.
On the occasion the Ambassador briefed the Director on the current situation in Ethiopia, mainly the progresses in the implementation of the Agreement on the Permanent Cessation of Hostilities (CoHA) Signed between the FDRE and the TPLF on November 2, 2023.
Ms. Dockendorf, on her part, appreciated the progress being observed in Ethiopia.
The two sides agreed to continue working together to further bolster the relations between the two countries.
The Ambassador also met with Mr. Diederick Zambon, Head of Division for Country Relations and Public Sector for Sub Saharan Africa and his team at the European Investment Bank. The two sides exchanged views regarding various projects in the public and private sectors that are being effected in cooperation with the Bank.
Ambassador Hirut further explained the ever-growing business environment in Ethiopia and called upon the Bank to increase its investment and engagement in the country.
