H.E. Ambassador Hirut Zemene met and held discussion with H.E Enrique Mora, Deputy Secretary General for political affairs of the European External Action Service (EEAS) today, 10 March 2023, on current developments in Ethiopia and the revitalization of relations between Ethiopia and the European Union.
During the meeting, Ambassador Hirut explained about the recently launched Transitional Justice mechanism, the status of the peace agreement signed on November 2022, as well as the preparation for the upcoming national dialogue.
On his part, Deputy Secretary General Mora expressed interest in closely following up on the developments in Ethiopia and his wishes to learn more about the situation on the ground during his visit there on the following week.
