H.E. Ambassador Hirut Zemene held a discussion with Ms. Laetitia Counye, Manager of Private Equity of the Belgium Investment Company for Developing Countries (BIO), on Ethiopia’s Investment opportunities.
During the discussion, the Ambassador explained about the Investment opportunities in Ethiopia for foreign investors as well as the upcoming Invest Ethiopia Summit 2023. She also highlighted investment opportunities in the financial sector and the newly formed Ethiopian Investment Holdings that could align with the interest of BIO.
Ms. Laetitia Counye, in her part, expressed Bio’s investment activities in Africa in general and in Ethiopia in particular through private equity investment and its interest to learn more about further engagements in areas that are newly available along with its priority areas.
BIO is a Belgian leading enterprise that , among others, focuses on agriculture, pharmaceuticals and renewable energy sectors.
