Ethiopian embassy in Brussels took part in the 7th Africa Diaspora Agro-food Forum & Exhibition (ADAFE) which held from October 21 – 22, 2023 at Gare Martime Hall in Brussels.
During the occasion H.E. Ambassador Shamebo Fitamo, Deputy head of the Mission has made an opening keynote speech.
In his speech the Ambassador remarked that, Africa in general and Ethiopia in particular have been playing important roles in the global agro-food sector and have exemplary results in diaspora engagements & so that African diaspora to double their effort on boosting agro-food process to feed a growing population in Africa & elsewhere.
The Ambassador also stated that, Ethiopia started to engage the diaspora and hosted the diaspora dates both at national and regional levels most earlier, and the diaspora’s engagement in development areas of the country is rapidly increasing since then.
The Embassy in collaboration with ‘Pagumae Natural superfood’ & ‘VEGITOPIA’ has participated in three stands & promoted Ethiopian Coffee ceremony, cultural dance and cultural food. Ethiopian untapped investment opportunities and tourism destinations have also promoted in the event.
More than 28 different companies that representing countries and organizations engaging in agro-food & food processing as well as hundreds of visitors have participated in the event.
