H.E. Hirut Zemene, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia in Brussels met and exchanged views with Mr. Oumar Doumbouya, Director for External Liaison Offices in the European Parliament Directorate General for Parliamentary Democracy Partnerships on the 6th of November 2023 at the chancery of the Embassy.
This was a courtesy meeting to discuss Ethiopia’s relevant contribution and support to the African Union and its institutions and the importance of closer inter-parliamentary ties both at African Union level and with the Parliament of Ethiopia.
They further agreed on the importance of continuing to exchange views with the European Parliament on domestic and regional issues of mutual interest and concern.
