The Embassy held talks with the Wallonia Export and Investment Agency (AWEX)

Today, 15 April 2025, H.E. Ambassador Eshete Tilahun and the Embassy’s business diplomacy team discussed with Mrs. Pascale DELCOMMINETTE, CEO of Wallonia Export and Investment Agency (AWEX).

Ambassador Eshete appreciated the warm welcome extended to him and his team. He then briefed the CEO and her team about the ongoing economic reforms in Ethiopia. Ambassador Eshete underscored the readiness of Ethiopia to unleash its full potential for sustainable development and prosperity. To that end, He called for an expanded exchange of business between the Wallonia Region and Ethiopia, including the Regional States.

Mrs. Pascale noted the wonderful relationship between AWEX and the Ethiopian Embassy and the need to promote stronger business fronts. She also stated that the Agency is working closely with CBL-ACP to materialize the incoming Economic Mission to Ethiopia scheduled for 1-4 June 2025.

Both sides agreed to work together, with their respective expert teams coordinating efforts for diversified economic engagement between Ethiopia and the Wallonia Region
