Ambassador Eshete Tilahun conferred with Mr. Philippe Dufrasne*
Today, 6 May 2026, H.E. Ambassador Eshete Tilahun discussed with Mr. Philippe Dufrasne, Chairman of Ecosteryl, a medical waste recycling machinery producer based in Belgium.
The discussion focused on reviewing the successful implementation of Phase I of Ecosteryl’s medical waste treatment plants, currently operational in three major hospitals in Addis Ababa.
Both sides exchanged valuable insights and feedback on the progress achieved thus far. Furthermore, they explored prospects for Phase II of the project, which aims to expand advanced medical waste treatment and recycling technologies to major cities across Ethiopia.
Ambassador Eshete underscored the commitment to enhance sustainable healthcare systems and promote green solutions in Ethiopia.
