H.E. Ambassador Eshete Tilahun Holds a Meeting with H.E. Ambassador Mathilde Félix-Paganon
Ambassador Eshete held a productive meeting with H.E. Ambassador Mathilde Félix-Paganon, Permanent Representative of France to the Political and Security Committee (PSC) of the European Union, ahead of the upcoming working visit of the EU-PSC Ambassadors to Ethiopia.
Ambassador Eshete briefed Her Excellency on the current situation in northern Ethiopia and developments in the Horn of Africa. He reaffirmed Ethiopia’s commitment to the peaceful resolution of conflicts and the promotion of regional peace and security. He also underscored the important role of France and the European Union in supporting peace efforts in the Horn of Africa and Red sea region.
For her part, Ambassador Mathilde expressed appreciation for the Ethiopian Government’s approach to addressing the current situation and emphasized the importance of sustaining efforts towards peace and development. She also highlighted the strong bilateral relationship between Ethiopia and France and their cooperation across a range of sectors.
Both Ambassadors stressed the importance of maintaining regular dialogue and further strengthening coordination on issues of mutual interests at diplomatic missions level.
