This morning, H.E. Ambassador Hirut Zemene, together with diplomats and staff of the Embassy of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia in Brussels, planted various tree seedlings in the Embassy’s backyard as part of the nation-wide call to plant 500 million tree seedlings in a day.

H.E. Ambassador Hirut Zemene welcomed Chevening Ethiopia Leadership Fellowship Class of 2023 from various Ethiopian institutions including, National Election Board of Ethiopia, Ministry of Health, Bahir Dar University, St.Paul’s Hospital Millennium Medical Collage,Yekatit 12 Hospital Medical Collage, Eka Kotebe General Hospital, Ethiopian Women with Disabilities National Association and Eco-Justice Ethiopia, a local NGO on the 14th of July 2023 in the Embassy premises.

Setting out efforts and challenges of protecting heritage and creating public conversation on the matter of Art and Culture in Ethiopia were the focus of the panel discussion hosted by by the founder of Ethiopian Art Conservation program, Ms. Naomi Meulemans in partnership with a well-known art gallery of the Black Panther in the city of Antwerp, Belgium on the 18th of June 2023.

The signing ceremony on Clusters of Excellence for Research and Innovation between the African Research University Alliance (ARUA) and The Guild of European Research-Intensive Universities was held in Brussels, Belgium on the 8th of June 2023.
