H.E Ambassador Grum Abay, Special Envoy, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the FDRE to Belgium, Luxembourg and E.U. institutions, welcomed Ethiopian students in Belgium on Saturday, October 12/2019 at the Embassy premises.
The students from Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Université libre de Bruxelles, KU Leuven Université, Hasselt Université, Ghent Université and Université de Antwerp introduced themselves to the Ambassador and the staff of the embassy.
Briefings on the Hidase dam was given by H.E Ambassador Grum which resulted animated and open exchange of views on the issue. He also emphasized the need to join hands to counter attitudes that propagate our interest by being well equipped with updated information of our country.
On the Occasion, a short presentation was made by Ato Gebremichael Gebretsadik, Deputy Head of Mission on areas of collaboration with the students specifically regarding knowledge and technology transfer during their stay in the universities in Belgium.
After the discussion, it was agreed to work closely with the embassy by maintain strong connection among themselves. The ambassador, on the other hand, promised to support and provide efficient services to the students whenever needed.
The get together concluded by networking session and serving Ethiopian cultural food to those present.
