The Embassy of Ethiopia has taken part at the two days 60th anniversary celebration of the African Unity (AU) in Brussels beginning today (May 25, 2023).
The AU permanent mission in Brussels in collaboration with African missions in Belgium has staged a two-day celebration on African Unity at 60 anniversary. The first day of the celebration was dedicated to a Sensitisation Seminar on the AU Theme of the Year 2023: “Acceleration of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Implementation”.
The seminar afforded participants to celebrate the important legal , administrative and institutional steps taken towards building the largest free trade area in the world. The occasion has also created possibilities to exchange views with the European Union counterparts on how to strengthen the continent to continent collaboration in the area.
The Embassy of Ethiopia has contributed to the exchange of views based on presentations made from Senior officials of AfCFTA secretariat and the EU Commission.
