H.E. Ambassador Eshete Tilahun Attends IHE Delft Diploma Awarding and Alumni Award Ceremony 2026.
Ambassador Eshete and his Embassy colleague attended the IHE Delft Institute for Water Education Diploma Awarding Ceremony 2026 and Alumni Award Ceremony in Delft, the Netherlands.
During the ceremony, Ms. Million Bekele Demissie, an esteemed Ethiopian Alumna, received the IHE Delft Alumni Award 2025 in recognition of her transformative and impactful work on communities and her contributions to the water and energy sectors development in Oromia Regional state of Ethiopia. Ms. Million serves as Head of the Water and Energy Bureau of the Oromia Regional Government where she connect to millions in her responsibility, referenced at the awards session.
On the other hand, three Ethiopian students received their Master of Science (MSc) diplomas from the University.
On the sidelines of the event, Ambassador Eshete had the opportunity to hold discussions with the University’s leadership. He commended IHE Delft’s significant contribution to education and capacity development in the water sector human resources development. He underscored the importance of further strengthening educational cooperation and fostering partnerships between Ethiopia and the Netherlands.
