U.S. companies benefit by investing in Ethiopia: Minister

Addis Ababa, 12 August 2014 (WIC) – U.S. companies would benefit from the investment opportunities and incentives in Ethiopia and be able to enter the vast African market if they invest here, Foreign Affairs State Minister Dewano Kedir said.The Minister yesterday hold discussion with a 40 member delegation from DOW company, a U.S. based company about the investment opportunities in Ethiopia.

During the occasion the minister said stability, conducive policy, vast market and cheap labour, among others are making Ethiopia favourable destination for investment.

Dewano said investing in Ethiopia will also create good opportunity for the companies to enter to the vast African market.

After the discussion, Ross McLean, Dow Sub-Saharan Africa President told reporters that the company is attracted to Ethiopia because of the successive economic development in the country.

The company is interested to work in developing world in partnership with local companies to solve challenges related to industry and agriculture, among others, he added. (ENA)
